URL Expander

Paste a short link and see the whole redirect chain it hides: every hop, the final destination, and a tracking analysis of where you would actually land. Instant, and nothing is stored.

What does the URL Expander do?

Short links hide their destination behind a chain of redirects. The expander walks that chain on the safe engine path — the same validated, SSRF-protected machinery as the Redirect Checker — and shows each hop's status and next location, ending at the final destination. Loops are detected and reported as loop_detected; the 10-redirect cap is reported as too_many_redirects; the final URL gets the full tracking analysis: parameters, UTM, and informational signals.

Why expand a link before clicking?

  • See the real destination. A tidy bit.ly address can land anywhere; the chain shows exactly where you would end up before you commit.
  • Spot tracking added on the way. Advertiser and analytics parameters often appear mid-chain — the final-URL analysis names them by category.
  • Catch redirect loops and chains that never end, with a clear distinction between a loop and the safety cap.
  • Freshness by design. Expansions are never cached — a short link's destination can change at any time, so every answer is live.

How to use it

Paste any http(s) short link and press Expand. You get the hop-by-hop timeline, the final destination card, and the tracking analysis of the destination. Need the deep technical view — per-hop DNS, TLS, headers, timing? The Redirect Checker provides the full trace of the same engine. For pure syntax without any network access, use the URL Analyzer.
