Redirect Checker

Trace the complete redirect chain of any URL — every 301/302/303/307/308 hop, the final destination, and how long each step took.

What is a redirect chain?

When you open a link, the server may answer with a redirect (301 Moved Permanently, 302 Found, and others) pointing to the next URL. That URL may redirect again — forming a chain that ends at the final page. Each hop adds latency and can change the domain, drop tracking parameters, or hide where you actually land.

Why check redirect chains?

  • SEO: long chains dilute link equity and slow crawlers.
  • Security: see exactly where a shortened or shared link leads before trusting it.
  • Performance: every hop is a full round trip — timing is shown per step.
  • Correctness: verify that marketing links land on the intended page and domain.

What you get

Every hop with its HTTP status and duration, the resolved final URL and domain, cross-domain and link-shortener flags, plus DNS, TLS certificate, and response-header details for the chain. Redirect loops and non-public (private network) targets are detected and reported safely.
